Does Apple have cryptocurrency?

Apple doesn’t currently have any cryptocurrency products or services. It does allow crypto wallet apps on its iPhone App Store, but it also prohibits mining apps. Apple has released financial services through its Wallet app, which includes contactless Apple Pay, peer-to-peer payments and the Apple Card credit card.

But for now, the Apple cryptocurrency relationship remains ambiguous. It seems likely that Apple’s Wallet app will eventually be able to handle crypto. However, he did firmly state that crypto was on the company’s radar, saying “there are other things that we’re definitely looking at,” with regard to crypto, but said Apple had nothing to announce on the matter at this time.

Is Apple preparing for the crypto space?

Apple has made no public statements about its plans for the crypto space. The company did not immediately return CoinDesk’s calls. Even so, pockets of the crypto space seem to be preparing for Apple. Coinbase included Apple Pay graphics in a recent app update, according to MacRumors.
